Officially summer time!

It's been ages since I last added a post, and so much has happened in that time that I cannot possibly mention it all. Spring has come and gone, and today is officially the first day of summer. Doesn't time fly!

I thought I'd post a photo of this beautiful Arisaema jacquemontii in order to kick start myself back into blogging mode. I just love this group of plants! Arisaema jacquemontii is a small, dainty species. Only reaching around 30cm high and with delicate leaves and pale green spathes, this is not a commonly grown plant. Most end up opting for one of it's larger, more eye-catching relatives. Which is a shame, really. On close inspection, the true beauty stands out and I must admit, I've developed a bit of a soft spot for this species!
